Gambling Recap
What a week. What a fucking week. I promised each and every one of you that we would find a way to win every bet and we fucking did it. We swept the board. I took the Waste Management Open by the balls and ripped out every single dollar it had to offer. We couldn’t lose. We wouldn’t lose The weekend started with Harold Varner getting cut. Again, big HV3 guy, but he never stood a chance. Brooks was fighting for his back to back championship and we all knew Ancer would fall off. Keith Mitchell was sticking around and top 20 looked as easy as I had ever expected. 3 wins was looking too easy and the only thing that was left hanging in the hands of destiny was Scottie Scheffler to win the tournament. Coming into Saturday, Scottie was NINE strokes back. We were in deep, deep trouble and we needed a miracle to pull it off. What did we get? A goddam miracle. He came out on Saturday and shot a 29 in the front 9 to put us in a position to win the tournament. Finishing Saturday tied for the lead, we were 18 holes away from history.
Full highlights of the 29 below:
Going into Sunday, we had basically locked up a strong week with +8 Units on our other three bets. Scottie had a chance to make it +32 UNITS ON THE DAY.Nobody believed in Scottie. Nobody thought that the kid from Dallas had the swag to do it. He can’t handle the pressure they said. Every golf page said to fade him. It wAs CaNtLaY’s tO wIn. Every page said it, except one, I told all of you to believe, and believe we did.
A Recap Of Sunday:
Sunday wasn’t the dream start for us as Scottie started to fall back a little bit and after a bogey on 12 things were looking extremely grim. Walking off of 12, someone must have given him the speech after that bogey because he turned into the grim reaper. Maybe it was me. Maybe me putting my biggest golf bet in my life down on Scottie after that bogey was the momentum he needed. All the way from New Jersey, Scottie Scheffler felt what I did. We weren’t ready to give up. 3/3 was locked in and it had to be 4/4. We had to make history. At -12, three strokes back, it was time to make a move. Scottie had a putt for eagle on 13 and tapped in the putt for birdie. -13, two strokes back. Cantlay birdied 15 as Scottie was walking up to 14, where he threw a dart to 10 feet. -14, two strokes back. Onto the par 5, an outside chance for an eagle chip in gets put to two feet. -15, one stroke back. It was officially in our grasp. Scottie walks on to 16 and nearly holes out a 30 foot putt to tie the lead. -15, one stroke back. Cantlay pars 17 and all we need to do is birdie to tie for the lead. What do we get? A perfect chip to four feet and just like that we’re -16 and tied for the lead. Scottie Scheffler is about to win the Waste Management Open. Cantlay misses the birdie putt and we now control our own destiny. Scottie throws a dart to 5 and a half feet. Everything was going how it was supposed to go until the putt slides by the right side of the hole. Dear God, why couldn’t it have just been easy? Onto the playoff we go. First two playoff holes, both players had shots to win it but neither could get it done. Third playoff hole. I now am quite a few beers deep, flipping back and forth between the Superbowl and have way too much money on the line between the two. Heart beating out of my chest as Scottie has 25 feet for birdie. Bang. Scottie hits it. Cantlay walks up looking like the terminator and stunningly pushes the putt. Drop the confetti. Play the hits. Three Putt Bogeys has arrived. We went 4/4 boys. We did it. Everyone counted us out. The world wanted us out. It was only right that we did it at the People’s Open.
I really could talk about this for hours and it will be a day I never forget. I spent all weekend regretting bailing yet again on flying out to Phoenix to watch in person. I knew this was the year I had to go but it really will be a weekend I never forget. I saved all the betslips you sent in as a highlight for my stories and it will cement itself as the coming out party for Three Putt Bogeys. If anyone can get me in touch with Scottie, please let me know.
Now, it’s time to talk about the tournament. This weekend was pure insanity and represented everything that the Waste Management Open is. 16 was basically a concert hall all weekend and we saw some of the craziest scenes in history there.
Starting with Sam Ryder hitting the first hole in one at 16 since 2015! On the 25th anniversary of Tiger’s legendary hole in one.
Beers were absolutely flying as 16 turned into a full on party.

As if this wasn’t enough for the weekend, Carlos Ortiz strolls up to 16 and drains another one! The party starts again!!!
Adding to the list Joel Dahmen and Harry Higgs brought even more life to the party as tops started to get popped. Higgs flashed the crowd and Dahmen started running around with his shirt off. It was a scene to be had.
TPC Scottsdale will never be the same after this weekend and our company is ready to take off. I appreciate all the support you have given us and I can’t wait to rally this into the Genesis Open. The winning doesn’t stop here and we’re ready to take the PGA by storm. Tomorrow I’ll have all of our picks ready to go but I wanted to drop a quick recap of the weekend prior.
Spread the word folks, we’re here to stay.
