The time has come – finally we get to watch the long-anticipated standoff between Brooks Koepka and Bryson Dechambeau. Two absolute units of the sport with plenty of drama built up over the years. This rivalry basically died back in September at the Ryder Cup (lame) but personally I have nothing better to do on Black Friday so I might as well blow all my money on this match. Historically, I’ve done pretty well on these special matches since the books tend to undervalue the fuck out of the celebrities that come and play – but this year will be a bit more difficult since its 1v1. In fact, this will be the first time since the original “The Match” that only two golfers go head-to-head, which is nice for time constraints and overall focus for the golfers. I’ve enjoyed all of these matches for the most part – outside of the last one with Aaron Rodgers because I’m a miserable Bears fan… NO, he does not own us and YES, he should have been removed from the league for making such heinous comments. Now that that’s settled, let’s get to the bets.
Venue
The tournament will be hosted at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas and they will only play 12 holes. I guess the big joke here is that they’ll settle the feud in “12 rounds” (AHAHAHAhaahaaha aha ah, ahem..woo). I’ve watched a few videos about the course and it is absolutely gorgeous – definitely a great spot if you need to leave the Vegas casinos. Check it out:

Scorecard

Pulling the scorecard tends to be the biggest difference maker in these matches since we need every advantage or edge we can get. There are some great YouTube videos you can watch that will tell you the exact spots of attack on the course.
The Odds

I rarely take a side in these matches, but for what its worth Bryson opened as the outright favorite. Can’t say this is a surprise considering Brooksy has been total ass lately. The play here is 100% to go hole by hole and try to pick who wins each – but since I’m a big Brooks guy I’ll probably throw a little something on him to win anyway. Bryson will definitely be looking to put on a show with his driver, which should open the door for some unwarranted plus odds on the par fours and fives where we can hope for a couple shanks.
Predictions
Won’t give out any locks or picks you have to take but below are my predictions for the first three holes.

Hole #1: a wide-open fairway from 430 yards out. Both of them should hit bombs here and I would expect at least one to birdie. Either way, I think just take the tie here at -120 to build up the bankroll a little bit. Gun to my head – I’d probably take Bryson since he’ll have about 60 yds left for his approach shot – but honestly, I think both will birdie.
Hole #2: this is a deep Par 3 which will likely play a little over 200 yds from the Championship tees. What’s interesting here is even tie is +130. I would probably lean towards taking Bryson, but for a Par 3 I think its just stupid not to take the plus odds for a tie.
Hole #3: Another relatively open Par 4. There’s some water in play as well as greenside bunkers causing some issues on the approach. I think Brooks +300 is ridiculously high – hope here is that Bryson tries to go too hard with the driver and ends up in trouble allowing Brooks to slide in for the easy win.
Enjoy The Match and have a Happy Thanksgiving pilgrims!!
